Jen has had a love of photography for as long as she can remember. Growing up in southeast Idaho, her passion for photography began in the outdoors. She spent countless summers with her father fishing, exploring, and capturing images.
She earned her degree from Salt Lake Community College, where she had the opportunity to learn under local photographers and artists. Jen has always been intrigued by the history and romance of photography, and enjoyed learning the whole process from film to print. With the influence of mentors and artists from SLCC she continued to develop her skills. It was there that her love of portraiture began. Her attraction to nature then quickly expanded into a desire to capture the human emotion.
In her spare time her other loves include gardening and cooking.
Jen is a true supporter of local organic farming and the Slow Food movement. She maintains relationships with many restaurants and organizations that share this same common goal. She often volunteers her time and skills at fundraisers and food events, happy to be a part of it all.
Jen’s goal is to make photography fun and easy while capturing images that will last a lifetime. With a photojournalistic approach, her aim is to tell the story of the day whether it be the celebration of a newly joined life or a new addition to the family.
Jen combines a great eye for capturing the moment and a talent for adding an artistic flare.
